2010-2011 ONGOING: ALICE OF LYRIC COUTURE AT MORNING GLORIOUS VINTAGE FOR REPAIRS, ALTERATIONS, & REFASHIONING:
Scheduled for the 1st Saturday and 3rd Friday of each month, Alice Fogel of Lyric Couture will be in the Morning Glorious Vintage Shop in Putney, VT from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, to meet with you about your garment alteration and re-fashioning needs.
Alice is an award winning re-fashion designer whose expert eye can help you both repair and re-envision your clothing. If you have clothes that need work - perhaps buttons need to be moved, a hem taken up or a waist seam let out - Alice will be taking in clothes for alterations 2 times a month, and most work will be completed and returned to you within 2 weeks.
If there is a vintage garment for sale in the Morning Glorious shop that you have your eye on, but it doesn’t quite fit right, Alice can likely make it work for you!
Or, you can bring your old sweaters, shirts, skirts, jeans and other things from your closet, and Alice can creatively reconstruct what's languishing there into one-of-a-kind, beautiful, and well-fitted garments that you'll actually love to wear!
Alteration fees are generally under $20 per garment, with some simple repairs costing $10-15. For re-fashioning/recycling projects, a small fee covers your personal one-on-one consultation with Alice, with this fee to be applied toward any clothing she creates for you, from your closet’s goods. Fees range from $5 to $20 depending upon how many items you want help with. Work may also be done in trade if you donate any usable pieces you no longer want to her inventory.
There is no need to make an appointment, you can walk in any time between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM on these scheduled days (1st Saturday and 3rd Friday of each month). For more info, call Morning Glorious Vintage at 802-536-0127.

Each month, usually the first Saturday, I do a different sewing class. They've included hand sewing, get to know your machine, how to use a sewing pattern, how to use fabrics to weatherize, etc. Let me know if you're interested in any.
Please come see me at my studio or one of the fairs, and come to a workshop for more fun. The way our economy is going, I really want everyone to know how to clothe themselves creatively and consciously.
