October 12--Putney School Harvest Festival and Craft Fair, Putney, VT

October 18--at Main Street Arts, Saxtons River, VT--a short (morning) refashioning workshop that will show you the basics of how to reconstruct old clothes into new.  You'll never look at your closet--or the store--the same again. November 1--A brief introduction to refashioning at my studio in Acworth, NH. We won't actually do much in the way of cutting and sewing, but you can bring your clothing issues (and clothing) and I'll play wardrobe doctor with them, also showing lots of examples of possible reconstruction projects from simple to complex.  I'll also give you lots of resource ideas.  It'll get you started, even if you have very minimal sewing skills.  10-12 AM, $20.  Call me for more info and to register ahead (limited room!) at 603-835-6783 or email me back.

January 3--At my studio, as part of my monthly sewing series, we'll be doing a class on how to make patterns out of your old clothes so you can reproduce them, whether they're just your favorite pants that are falling apart, or a vintage dress you love the design of.  Call for more info.  

Each month, usually the first Saturday, I do a different sewing class.  They've included hand sewing, get to know your machine, how to use a sewing pattern, how to use fabrics to weatherize, etc. Let me know if you're interested in any.

Please come see me at my studio or one of the fairs, and come to a workshop for more fun. The way our economy is going, I really want everyone to know how to clothe themselves creatively and consciously.
